| During opening circle-time we always sing our ABC's. Every week we go over 1 or 2 letters of the alphabet and work on them throughout the week. After lunch we concentrate on reading books related to the topic of the week. The children then choose a book to read to themselves & then share it with the other kids. |
| Every day we have fun projects for the children to create. We work on Cutting, painting, coloring, gluing and many other fine motor skill builders. Colors, shapes, size measurements, & letters are incorporated into our arts & crafts. A learning lesson is taught in every project! |
| The Giggle Patch has various musical instruments for the children to interact with. We play all types of music while shaking, tapping, rattling or banging our instruments. The children sometimes march or dance with the music or sometimes we just sit in a circle & rotate all the instruments around to each child. We have a wonderful big parachute that is so fun & blow bubbles as part of our ending music time. Music is always a great part of the day. |
| Every day we have a routine starting with open play till all children arrive, a homemade breakfast, circle-time, table-time, art & crafts followed by writing skills, morning out-door play period , lunch, reading/storytelling, nap-time, an afternoon outdoor-play period, afternoon snack, music & movement class, closing circle-time & a second open play period during parent pick up. |
