Here at The Giggle Patch, we give your child that “At Home” kind of feeling that he/she deserves while providing them with a full structured day with lots of fun & learning. What more could a child want while they’re away from their home and family? Circle Time- Our Good Morning Song welcomes each child by name into the group, Healthy Habits like brushing teeth/hair, getting dressed, are talked about everyday. We sing the Days of the Week Song and talk about the Weather. Free Play- For a Great Morning Start/Separation, your child will get to choose whatever he/she would like to play with while mommy/daddy exit to go to their job. Music & Bubble Time- We will sing ,Dance, and March playing assorted Musical Instruments to the beat of the music. At the end of our music session the children will love to clap, stomp and pop the bubbles from our fun Bubble Machine. Table Time- Foam Blocks, Waffle Blocks, Matchbox Cars, Play-Dough, Trains & Coloring/Drawing and more. Story Time- Miss Sandi and/or her assistant read a book and then the children can choose one to read aloud or to themselves. We have a great variety of books (picture only, flap, word, etc.) Books are on a shelf at he child’ s level so that they are inviting and therefore they get used to the idea of reading at an early age. Early childhood literacy is the key to future learning. Puppet Theater- Assorted Hand and Finger Puppets to choose from. We put on a show or the kids put on a show for us! There are Disney Characters, Animals, People and Clowns. This is a great tool for teaching children safety issues. Dress Up- Lets Make Pretend! Whether your child would like to be a Pirate or a Princess, we have a wonderful assortment of Costumes, Dresses, Pocketbooks, Wands, Necklaces, and Shoes. Imaginary play is very important to a child's development. Outdoor Play- We have Play Houses, Cars, Slides, mini See-saws, a great Water Table, a sand table, hoola hoops, assorted Ball Games. When the weathers not too hot we may even put a sheet on the grass and have a picnic on the lawn just for fun! To top it off we have a really fun sprinkler for those hot summer days. Fun Video’s/TV-(Limited of coarse.) All our DVD's/Tapes are fun yet educational at the same time. TV shows come with the same promise. I like WLIW and Nick JR. On rainy days or inclement weather, we may watch a movie instead of going outside. |
